General information
Managing Director: Pieter Oosterbaan
Experience: Pieter has been actively involved in residential construction on his own account since he finished his carpentry apprenticeship in 1978.
Registered Master Builders: Pieter has been actively involved in the Master Builder Association and has spent many years actively involved in the Auckland Association. He has served on the board of management and has held various other rolls with the Auckland association.
Pieter was born in Hamilton but has lived in Auckland for well over 30 years. He is married and has two grown up daughters.
Quantity Surveyor: Gerald Cailliau
Qualifications: Completed studies in 1989, obtained NZCQS MNZIQS.
Experience: 20 years in the construction industry predominately residential.
Gerald has a practical and professional approach to all quantity surveying facets and also has a vast experience in project management.
Gerald was born and raised in Auckland and is married with two young children.
Our Specialities
Renovations: This is an area of building that we enjoy, and we thrive on the challenge of modifying a building to suit a clients changing needs; or releasing that hidden potential. Here again it is the skill required to work in with the existing building to create something new, but still matches in and complements the original building. There is tremendous satisfaction in realizing this potential.
Additions: This type of work is fantastic, and we have completed many projects over the years. We love the challenge of having the project come together as if it had been designed that way from new. We offer professional, honest and courteous tradesmen, who you will feel happy to have in your house.
New housing: This is another area of construction that we really enjoy. We have had many years of experience in new housing, ranging from medium cost dwellings, right through to very high quality custom houses. We can use your design plans or have us design & build your dream home from start to finish. The level of your input is up to you, as little or as much as you like.
What We Offer
We offer a one stop package from the very beginnings of an idea right through to sitting back to relax and enjoy the finished home.
Typically we start with a site meeting to establish your needs and see whether we can help you with your requirements.
Step one is to proceed to concept plans. This will put your ideas (and ours) on paper. These can still be fine tuned to get the home to reflect your needs and personality. When completed they will form the basis of work to be undertaken, and from these we can give an estimate of the costs involved.
Step two is to complete a set of construction plans for the project which will give full detail of all work required. From these plans we can accurately calculate the cost of the project and also apply for a building consent.
Step three is to produce the final quotation. This will be a fixed price, locking down the cost and will clearly spell out all work to be undertaken.
Step four is the signing of the building contract and Masterbuild seven year guarantee documents, and is the final step in the planning and document stage.
Step five - The construction phase, where the plans get turned into reality.
