A move to the country
Building a new home is one of the most exciting projects you can undertake but it may also be one of the biggest investments you will ever make. Planning what you would like, how it would look and feel, and all those exciting new features and functions you could incorporate is the first step. To turn this dream into reality requires finding a builder who understands your needs and can translate your ideas into reality on time and to budget.
A passion for horses was the start of a dream for this busy family who sold their city home in Kohimarama and bought a section in Whitford where they planned to build their dream home and enjoy a rural lifestyle. They commissioned Beacon Construction, custom build specialists, to turn this dream into reality.
Working alongside an architect they designed something to make best use of the gentle contour section with rural outlook. They wanted something which had good indoor – outdoor flow, a view over the to be built horse arena and plenty of parking. Throughout the design process Beacon Construction provided guidance for cost implications so the family could proceed with the home they had always wanted but still be able to keep within budget. The end result was a stunning new home with wonderful appeal and is a delight for the owners to live in.
After the successful completion of the family’s new home, three years later Beacon Construction felt privileged to be invited back to build a pool house to compliment the existing building. This was a beautiful addition to the property that gave plenty of enjoyment to their growing family and active lifestyle.
