Thomas O’Brien, Award Winning Apprentice 2020

Beacon Construction Ltd are very proud of our apprentice, Thomas O’Brien, for winning Master Builders, Northern Region Apprentice of the Year Award in September 2020.

Thomas came to Beacon Construction straight from Rangitoto College in September 2017. His teacher contacted Beacon mentioning that Thomas was a standout student in wood working and would be an asset to any business. At this stage Beacon wasn’t employing apprentices but decide that we would give Thomas an opportunity to prove himself.

We are very proud of Thomas as he has definitely proved in the first 3 years of his apprenticeship that he has excellent building skills, is passionate about everything he does and is very keen to learn.

We would like to congratulate Thomas and look forward to seeing how he uses his building skills in

the future.
